Lilly Pads

Posted by Russ Devan (New Hanover, United States) on 1 March 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

This was shot early last autumn in Pleasant Run Park in New Hanover.

Sorry, no interesting story to go along with this image other than my wife finally let me take her new car out for a spin the night I shot this, so I naturally stopped and took a few pictures while out for a drive. I guess something is a little out of whack if I'd rather make photographs than drive a new car. What can I say? I have my priorities!

Thanks for stopping by.

"The Master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both."
