This is the view of Fourth Lake from Rocky Mountain near the little hamlet of Eagle Bay, New York. This was shot on a camping trip last autumn. The light was perfect that morning. Hiking to the top of the mountain in pre-dawn darkness I was greeted by a beautiful fog-covered lake and valley below me. This was one of the shots taken later in the morning, after much of the fog had lifted.
Fourth Lake is one of the eight lakes in the Fulton Chain of Lakes that stretches about 20 miles beginning at the town of Old Forge.

Wow! The mist/fog laying over the lake is just the perfect element for this beautiful scene.
