Deep CreekPosted by Russ Devan (New Hanover, United States) on 11 April 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. This is the beginning of my next photographic series which is on fog. This is Deep Creek where it flows into Deep Creek Lake near the town of Green Lane, PA. Deep Creek Lake is one of the lakes at Green Lane Park. The other lakes being Knight Lake and Green Lane Reservoir. This was shot one foggy November morning. Thanks for stopping by. "The Master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both."

@Ryan: Thanks, man. I appreciate it. @Alun Lambert: Thank you. @Betty: Thanks, Betty. @Betsy Barron: Thank you, Bets! Betsy Barron from Glenmoore, United Stateshey RD did you dodge and burn this at all? 11 Apr 2008 11:36am @Betsy Barron: Hey Bets, No dodging and burning on this one, nor was there any cropping. It was minimally processed with Nikon Capture NX for curves, a slight bump in saturation to enhance the little bit of color in the vegetation, some sharpening, then converted from RAW to TIFF then compressed down to a JPG for web posting. That's it. Helen from Melbourne, AustraliaMy word. If this is an indication of what is to come, I am excited. This is a wonderful beginning. 11 Apr 2008 6:59pm @Helen: Thank you for your kind words. I hope you enjoy the rest of my fog images over the next several days. Diane - Daily Walks from SF Bay Area, United StatesThe deep creek that holds deep thoughts. Definitely a place for contemplation. Very ethereal. 30 Apr 2008 3:37pm |
