Yellow

This is a field of Black Mustard (Brassica nigra) that I discovered on Tuesday evening while driving home on a narrow, winding country road that I take on occasion when traffic is bad on the main road nearby. This was shot in North Coventry Township in Chester County. The last few days of warm weather that we've experienced has made the wild flowers and trees just pop with color. Although I was in a hurry to get home from work so I could get to my Boy Scout meeting, I had to stop and shoot this when I saw it, not knowing if the light (or the flowers) would be the same later on when I had more time to really "sketch out" this image to my liking. I only took a dozen exposures before I had to run, but it did make me a few minutes late for my scout meeting.

Interestingly enough, I photographed this same scene a couple of winters ago. I will post that image tomorrow to show you the different moods of this bucolic location under very different lighting conditions.

Thanks for stopping by.
