This is Sheeder-Hall Bridge again, but in black and white. Although I liked the warm tones of the sunset in the previous post, I'm not sure if I like this better in black and white or color. Any preferences?

Hmmm... tough one, I actually like both. The warm color of the other one is beautiful, but I like the shadows in the black and white verison.

Well, I'm not the one to ask, for just this afternoon I gave thought to black and white and promptly dismissed it with a "Why?" : ) Without conscious thought on the matter, my own work shows a love of color. Early morning and late evening sun always send me off to look for the right photo. So while the grayscale image is interesting because of the bold tree shadows, it makes me think of old museums... I love that warm, rich red. Just a personal preference. I'm sure others will see things the other way 'round. Nice pic either way, really.

Between this and the color? This isn't even a contest! The color wins hands-down. After all, the image is about the color, the color of the bridge and the stone brought out by the warm sun. This B&W is a pleasant image, to be sure, but the color one is magic.

I have several shots of this bridge, but I can never get an angle I like. I tried to get a shot of the inside, but almost got run over nine times! For a one lane bridge, it's awful busy. I myself like the color version more.
