Viscose GatePosted by Russ Devan (New Hanover, United States) on 11 July 2008 in Architecture and Portfolio. This is the front gate of the abandoned building in Marcus Hook that formerly housed the American Viscose Company. From the looks of things, it seems like some vandals tried to break in through the gate at some point in the past. For this series of images, I've been trying to mimic the quality of photographic prints from long ago by toning the images slightly to give them an aged appearance. "The Master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both."
