Troop 367 Shoulder InsigniaPosted by Russ Devan (New Hanover, United States) on 2 August 2008 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio. This was shot during Retreat when all of the scouts and leaders were lined up for the flag lowering ceremony at the end of the day. The evening light that filters onto the A-field, where all the scouts gather during Retreat, is incredible. The interplay of the sunlight and the deep shadows on one of our ASM's uniforms caught my eye. In case you're wondering, the "50" located above the Troop number indicates that our troop has been in continuous existence for over 50 years. That's a lot of scouts, a lot of fun, and a lot of boys that became young men. "The Master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both."
