Storm Approaching

I managed to capture this from an open field during what turned out to be a pretty intense thunderstorm near Pine Forge, Pennsylvania. With lightning going off in different parts of the sky, it was difficult to predict where it was going to strike next and where to aim the camera. I managed to capture this lightning bolt on the second shot, but was crazy enough to keep taking additional shots trying to capture more and better lightning strikes. The wind was high enough that my camera strap was blowing so it was parallel to the ground as it sat on the tripod and rain started coming down around me. And still I kept shooting. It wasn't until lightning struck only a couple hundred yards away from me that I finally packed it in and retreated to the car. The nutty things I do to get a decent photograph.
