Row Boats, Marsh Creek State ParkPosted by Russ Devan (New Hanover, United States) on 6 September 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. This was photographed this past spring during a week of jaw-droppingly beautiful skies with many enormous, puffy clouds. For some reason, the colors in this image became IMMENSELY dull when I uploaded it to AM3. The original file is much, much more vibrant than this copy suggests. "The Master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both."

Betty from New Jersey, United StatesIt's amazing that the original is much more vibrant, because the colors in this version are just beautiful! I love how the light on the clouds frame the setting sun! Fantastic composition! 6 Sep 2008 11:10am Betsy Barron from Glenmoore, United Statesnot sure how you get more vibrant that this.. it's spectacular - perfect exposure.. or is it a combination of exposures?? 6 Sep 2008 12:25pm @Betsy Barron: This is one exposure. The image looked great on my Macbook, but when I uploaded it to AM3, it looked very dull. Same file, same computer screen. Tony Duque from Raleigh, United StatesToo bad (and a little odd) about the loss of color intensity, but that's lost on we viewers... this is just a wonderful shot. Thanks for sharing your good fortune and skill! 6 Sep 2008 2:11pm Judy from Brooksville-Florida,, United StatesThis is beautiful ... dull to your eyes, perhaps, but not to mine. The reflection on the water and on the leading hull are gorgeous! 7 Sep 2008 12:26am Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaA super composition with excellent processing. Fabulous work. 7 Sep 2008 5:29am |
