Flower GirlPosted by Russ Devan (New Hanover, United States) on 30 September 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. Another whimsical pose by Betsy. We experimented with this pose just a bit with Betsy giving the camera (or was it me?) some silly looks. But, we ended up liking this one best. There weren’t many edits made to this other than some basic levels and curves adjustments and slight sharpening. I also cloned out Betsy’s feet that were up in the air behind her, giving her the appearance of having bunny ears. Fortunately, I didn’t have to deal with any grass stains on her dress in subsequent photos. LOL. Click here to view Betsy's interpretation of this image. "The Master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both."

Michael Rawluk from Williams Lake, BC, CanadaShe's a cutie alright. Very nicely shot. 30 Sep 2008 5:42am Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesAh, this is so idyllic. I really like this version. The vibrant colors, and proximity to Betsy in the photo work well together. 30 Sep 2008 11:08am Mary from Exton, United StatesI like both views of this photo.. This offers a little bit more range of athmosphere.. Nicely done! 30 Sep 2008 12:25pm Judy from Brooksville-Florida,, United StatesBoy, today it's a tough decision. I like Betsy's B 'n W image and the tighter crop, but I'm a fall guy/gal for color and she's beautiful against the greens. I can see a full-sized print of this hanging on a wall! 30 Sep 2008 2:11pm Tamara from Fort Myers, FL, United StatesI love the color of the grass! I would love to lay down in that field. Beautiful!! 30 Sep 2008 5:30pm Laurie from New Jersey, United StatesI agree...this is a tough call. Both versions really work well. This one has more landscape in the landscape portrait and Betsy's version has more portrait. 1 Oct 2008 4:29pm JJ from Jersey City, United StatesI looked at both versions and each are very good in there own ways, I think the colors in this give it just a slight edge 2 Oct 2008 1:54am |
