The PelotonPosted by Russ Devan (New Hanover, United States) on 6 November 2008 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio. I caught this group of bicyclists riding together one evening around one of the buisness parks where I work. Hard to believe that I actually used to ride like this...a long, long time ago. "The Master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both."

Paco Díaz from Palma de Mallorca, SpainGood feeling of movement and effort in this shot. 6 Nov 2008 7:04am Judy from Brooksville-Florida,, United StatesGood capture of their speed and I like that you caught the one helmet and face (far left) in focus! 6 Nov 2008 11:34am Betsy Barron from Glenmoore, United Statesgreat capture - love the motion.. just perfect! And, I learned a new word today! Thanks! 6 Nov 2008 12:53pm Laurie from New Jersey, United StatesI love the way you used the motion blur in this. It conveys intensity. 6 Nov 2008 2:09pm @Laurie: These guys were pretty intense and they were only out for exercise; it wasn't a race. There looked to be about 50 cyclists in total and were probably moving at about 30 mph (about 50 km/h). They were fast! Monte Stevens from Fort Collins, United StatesSorta makes ya dizzy! And, yes we all have those hidden talents from our past. LOL 6 Nov 2008 6:12pm |
