Re-United

Posted by Russ Devan (New Hanover, United States) on 11 November 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

From a recent portrait session for a couple who found a way to get back together after a recent separation. What better way to celebrate than with a portrait to capture the moment. Congratulations.

"The Master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both."

A very sensitive moment in time for them, that we get to share in the seeing.

gorgeous light -was this in studio or outdoors?

@Betsy Barron: This was shot in the studio and was completely backlit by bouncing the lights off the seamless behind the subjects. A reflector was positioned in front of the subjects to catch a bit of the light and bounce it onto their faces so that they would not be a silhouette.

That is sweet. Lovely portrait here.
