Blue Vista

Here, you can see the slight bluish haze in the distance from which the Blue Ridge Mountains derive their name. Shot in Shenandoah National Park.

"The Master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both."

Sigh...so beautiful and soothing. I needed to see this slice of heaven, it has been a tough week.

What a wonderful view! A place I hope to get to see in person one day.

They are still one place where the smog has not taken so much of the beauty away. I too like the clouds in this image. Well done!

Wonderful photo, Russ. The blues are superb. I've driven the length of that highway and hope to do it again. There are many photo-worthy vistas, and once I had the pleasure of watching a large black bear lope across a meadow and in front of my car. Beautiful places.

A very happy holiday season to you and your family, and all the best in the new year!
