Ice RoadPosted by Russ Devan (New Hanover, United States) on 1 January 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. Happy New Year, everyone! I hope this year is a peaceful, joyous, and prosperous one for you all. This is an old farm field, not far from my home in New Hanover, just after an ice storm a few weeks ago. "The Master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both."

Suzanne from Huntington Bch, United StatesThis is lovely...even more effective, IMO, that if there was a thick blanket of snow over everything. Wishing you a wonderful 2009. 1 Jan 2009 5:23am john4jack from Corvallis, United StatesBeautiful photograph. I agree with Suzanne. 1 Jan 2009 1:58pm PShorten from West Chester, United StatesI want you to know that looking at your photography inspires me! 1 Jan 2009 3:21pm Laurie from New Jersey, United StatesThis is beautiful. I love the way the road curves through the frame. It's pretty cool that the road is unspoiled by foot prints too. I love when you walk alone along the crusty surface you can hear nothing but the sound of your feet crunching in the ice and snow. It is somehow so peaceful. Happy New Year. 1 Jan 2009 3:53pm GJC from Kyoto, JapanSuperb composition. You get all you can out of that beautiful curve in the road. 2 Jan 2009 4:06am Melanie from Geneva, SwitzerlandHappy New Year! 5 Jan 2009 5:04pm |
