Window On New Jersey

Posted by Russ Devan (New Hanover, United States) on 3 April 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

...a broken door on a canal lock on the Delaware Canal looking across the Delaware River to New Jersey. This was shot during a photo outing last September with Laurie Jackson and Betsy Barron.

"The Master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both."

I remember this location. That was shortly before I tumbled down the muddy hill...I like how you used the broken door as a frame.

A rather unusual way to frame a image but still beautiful. Looks very calm and serene.
