Cathedral of PinesPosted by Russ Devan (New Hanover, United States) on 16 June 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. "The Master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both."

The light looks fascinating. Was it misty? 16 Jun 2009 9:57pm @Ian Bramham: Actually, this was taken during the middle of the afternoon when it was mostly sunny. Sometimes, the weather doesn't do what I need it to do, so I have to help things along. I'd rather not do it this way, but it is closer to how I saw this image in my mind's eye. Tammy Strawb from United Statesnice haunting feel. the light is perfect. good stuff. 16 Jun 2009 11:06pm Betsy Barron from Chester Springs, PA, United Statesbeautiful! that's a church I want to sit in - I like the light at the end of this path 17 Jun 2009 1:07am Dan Creighton from Pottstown, United StatesNice ethereal quality here Russ that draws you in. Lovely work Russ! 17 Jun 2009 1:28pm Monte Stevens from Westerville, United StatesGood use of lines. Is that a path or just the way they were planted? 17 Jun 2009 4:27pm @Monte Stevens: I think that may be just the way the trees were planted, but it has become a path over time, probably by local fishermen. pedro alexandre from loures, Portugalnice i like the path and the glomy mood, good work on the sepia tones too. 17 Jun 2009 10:15pm |
