Great Egret II (Casmerodius albus)Posted by Russ Devan (New Hanover, United States) on 28 September 2009 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio. "The Master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both."

Mary from Exton, United StatesI can see why you stood around and hurt your foot.... Nice angle. 28 Sep 2009 2:27pm Dan Creighton from Pottstown, United StatesRuss- I like the repeating and contrasting diagonals in this image. From the perch to the line of the green foliage and the dark shadowy background. It works nice to add dynamic impact to the static egret that being white (and nicely exposed btw) stands out greatly. Nice image. 28 Sep 2009 2:47pm Chris from South Jersey, United Statesgreat capture - amazing that he didn't take off on you..... 28 Sep 2009 4:49pm Curly from South Shields, United KingdomWonderful capture looks a magnificent bird. 28 Sep 2009 8:15pm |
