Turn Off The Light

Fantastic image!!

Really great picture, Russ. What comes to mind as I look at this photo? First, I see the strong figure of this woman (Betsy) as she stands at the doorway to... what? The light streaming in indicates outside the door is hope, opportunity, challenge. Her confident posture indicates she is surveying what is out there, and is ready to face what will come. Then I see the surroundings in which she stands. An old "establishment" space, the building shows its age; it may be shabby today and crumbling, but there was a time when it stood strong and solid. It is the foundation of the future.

You have used the model, the surroundings, the textures and available light to their best advantage in this photo. Excellent work!

i think this might be my favourite one of the series yet! i like the strong pose and for some reason i think the stronger contrast works better in these scenery that soft light... well done!
